On the 21 day, NXP announced that its first passenger car using NXP S32V vision processing system to achieve mass production, the first batch of cars was launched by FAW Pentium SENIA R9. The ADAS product was developed by Neusoft Rui and adopted NXP vision processing system. It is expected to achieve million level production in the next 2-3 years.
The automatic driving vision system loaded by the mass production vehicle is based on the S32 motor control and computing platform, the first fully extensible system architecture in the world, enabling auto makers to market the auto driving function at a faster rate than ever. The overall performance of the S32 platform is ten times higher than the best vehicle control and computing platform at present. It can reduce the software development workload of 90% in the same application domain, reduce the software development over 40% of the application domain, and make the car safety, protection and online upgrade (OTA) ability to take a new step. In addition, this platform provides an open platform for system integrators and carmakers to integrate the best visual processing technology and software resources.
